Christmas remind us that a house is not a home (Dionne
Warwick) because for a house to be called a home, LOVE is needed. So, as
architects Christmas tell us more reasons why we need to make our designs better
in order not to just provide shelters alone but to create livable and
comfortable spaces that could enhance more love suitable to make a house a
home.
Christmas remind us of the LOVE of Christ towards humanity,
His grace toward nature. So, as architects, it tell us why we must
continually design buildings that
reflect passion and respect for nature and structures that complement nature
rather than disgrace it and the necessity placed upon us to design for
humanity (Read about Architecture for Humanity) considering the
users and the environment.
Christmas tell us that GOD lives in the details (Ludwig Mies
Van Der Rohe) and as architects, it remind us about reasons why we need to pay more attention to little details that
can make a difference in the way we shape the world through our designs.
Christmas to us means a time to reflect on passion of
GOD toward reconciling with humans and HIS love to make the world better therefore
behind every of our actions as architects, should be reasons, passion, strength
and force towards making the world a better place to LIVE.
Christmas remind us of the need to design structures that
are not just fortresses for shelters nor cave to hide but a beautiful framework
that open us to nature and also protect us from it when the need arise.
Christmas means a time for people to connect together and
make more meaning out of life, therefore as architects, Christmas remind us of
the need to promote the kind of architecture that does not just provide
shelters to live or spaces to work but one that shed lights into people lives,
give sense of belonging and connect people in a beautiful way.
Christmas means a time to foster more meaningful relationship
and for these relationships to be enhanced, well articulated and meaningful
spaces are needed. Therefore, as architects, Christmas remind us of the necessity
placed upon us to design more structures to enhance human behavior through
creation of spaces that are in harmony with the user thus promoting healthy living
and good social interaction.
At www.imaginearchitecture.blogspot.com Christmas means a lot to us and that is why we have decided to share this short
post to wish you Merry Christmas and a prosperous new year ahead.
