FOOD FOR ARCHITECTS

Architecture needs no introduction as one of the most stressful profession; it is kind of a normal thing with architecture due to trying to meet up with deadlines and coming up with distinctive architectural piece. Architecture is stressful and not an easy profession and that is why architects are special and unique because we love to make the world better through our designs
even at the expense of our time and energy. Architects put passion before business so they do more than what they are paid for and in doing this, the work becomes more tedious and stressful but a good
practice like eating good food
that help lower stress level could be of help.

So today, we will be talking about valuable, nutritious and nourishing food capable of helping architects in dealing with stress.

Here is the list;

(1)    Green Vegetables
Vegetable are healthy, nutritious and vitamin packed. During stress period, the level of vitamin in your body is reduced especially the B-Complex vitamins. The vitamin available in vegetable could help you deal with this by making it part of your meal after work. This will surely replenish the nutrient your body needs to stay healthy.

(2)    Oranges
During stress, chemical like adrenalin start pumping more and the heart rate goes up than normal, another chemical is also produced called CORTISOL, this could pile up in the body and could trigger stuffs that could bring heart disease. The vitamin C available in much content in oranges helps to boost your immune system and help you deal with your cortisol level.

(3)    Walnuts
Stress comes with increase in high blood pressure but eating little walnut could help you lower your blood pressure and make everything balance for the body. So, when next you think you are stressed up, reach out for walnuts and do yourself a lot of good

(4)    Sweet Potatoes
There are so many health benefits of sweet potatoes; part of it is being an anti-stress mineral because of their rich content of magnesium which is necessary for healthy artery, blood, bone and nerve function. Sweet potatoes also contain Vitamin D, Irons, and Vitamin B6 which make them useful for replenishing  food supplement in low content during stress.

(5)    Turkey
As an architect, instead of eating meat after a stressful day job, why not go for turkey. Turkey is said to contain amino acid called L-tryptophan which helps in releasing serotonin (a monoamine neurotransmitter) a good brain chemical that helps to regulate mood and have a good sleep. When you eat a meal containing turkey after a stressful day job, you can be sure of feel good mood and better sleeping hours.

(6)    Tomatoes
Tomatoes are very high in vitamin c; eating fresh tomatoes will help you with vitamin C boost in the body. If you cannot eat it raw, make sure that your meal contains tomatoes.

(7)    Spinach
Spinach is also one of the stress fighting foods. If you are thinking of a stress relieving food, make spinach part of your diet and you can be sure of low blood pressure when you have been stressed.
Other foods you might also consider are grapefruits, lemon oatmeal, nuts and almonds.


Remember to also take at least 5 to 7 glasses of water a day, it helps to detoxify the body and eliminate harmful substances that could trigger stress related diseases.
